La Lance

Next door to the medieval village of Colmars-les-Alpes, this tributary of the Verdon has an alpine feel (altitude 1400 and 1250m). The course of the Lance is an ever changing spectacle, flowing through magnificent open countryside then steep rocky gorges, with the ‘grand finale’ of a double waterfall. High summer when the water is warmer is the best time. This 3 km long canyon takes approx. 5 hours. Age 16 years upwards. La Lance is the playground for : Canyoning
